ABOUT the role


In customer ops you'll help us reach out to users on our waitlist, onboard them to use Avala's AI Infrastructure Services, and follow up with them to turn warm leads into paying subscription revenue. It's a role that requires a combination of sales grit, perseverance, charm and customer empathy.

You'll thrive if you:

  • Find talking to customers 6-8 times a day energizing, not tedious or draining
  • Document processes and customer feedback
  • Would enjoy helping automate and building a more efficient process to onboard our users
  • Can be analytical about the sales funnel, from lead all the way to payment
  • Are comfortable being measured by results (number of onboardings, paying customers)
  • Find ways to make each customer interaction fun and unique for them
  • Are interested in discovering clever ways to delight our customers
  • Take initiative: if something is manual or slow, you research & find a way to make it faster

ABOUT you


We encourage any candidate who meets 70% of these qualifications to still apply!

  • 2 years of full-time operating experience in a customer-facing role
  • A general technical understanding of how the web works, browsers, syncing, password management, google account profile switching, extensions, etc.

Nice to haves:

  • You've worked at a startup before
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and act on feedback from the team, openness to critique.
  • Passion and constant drive to stay up to date with the latest technology and new techniques.
